Apex started in 2009 with Marcus Lee and Diego Rivera, two SCCA-licensed wrenches who got tired of telling friends they couldn’t recommend an online parts store that would actually catch fitment errors before they shipped.
So they opened one. First year was a single rented bay on South Tryon, one box truck, and a dyno on loan from a friend who’d retired from drag racing. The rule then is the rule now: every order over $250 gets eyeballed by an ASE tech against the manufacturer fitment chart before it leaves the warehouse.
Fifteen years later, the warehouse is on Tyvola Road, the catalog is 42,000 SKUs across 120 authorized brands, and we ship to all 50 states + APO/FPO. Same rule on the shipping floor. Same phone number answered by guys who’ll spend 20 minutes on pad-compound nuance because they care which one you end up running on Saturday.
