What we install

Four services. One NABCEP-certified crew.

A focused solar shop. We design, install, monitor, and maintain residential and commercial PV plus battery storage—and we stay out of any line of work that pulls focus from the panels and the production numbers.

SunWright install crew mounting panels on a Phoenix-area home

How a SunWright install works

From bill to roof in three weeks. Or your deposit back.

No high-pressure door-to-door sales. No surprise change orders. Every SunWright install follows the same four steps, and we put the three-week target in writing in your contract.

  1. 01

    Free quote in 24 hours

Drop your bill, your zip, and a roof photo. A NABCEP designer comes back inside 24 hours with the system size, the layout, and the written price—every line itemized.

  2. 02

    Engineered design + permit

Structural review, electrical plan, and city of Phoenix permit pulled inside 10 business days. Utility interconnection paperwork filed in parallel so the install date holds.

  3. 03

    Install in 1–3 days

Our W-2 install crew rolls in with all equipment on the truck. Most residential jobs are panels-on-roof in one day; commercial flat-roof and carport in 2–3.

  4. 04

Activate & monitor for 25 years

Inspector signoff, utility commissioning, system turn-on. SolarSight monitoring runs from day one and we send a one-page production report every quarter.

Financing options

Three ways to go solar. We’ll show you all three.

Most solar shops push the one option that pays them best. We model ownership, $0-down loan, and PPA / lease side-by-side in every quote—then you pick. Federal credit and AZ-specific incentives already baked into the numbers.

Cash

Own outright

Best 25-year value

Pay cash, claim the 30% federal tax credit, keep every electron and every utility-rate hike you escape.

  • Maximum lifetime savings — typical $58k+ over 25 years
  • Full 30% federal Residential Clean Energy Credit
  • No monthly payment — owned free and clear
  • Increases home resale value (Berkeley Lab study)
  • Highest upfront — typical $22k–$32k after credit
  • Slower payback if you plan to move in <6 years

Most popular

Loan

$0-down solar loan

Most popular

Finance the system at 4.99–7.99% over 10, 15, or 25 years. Monthly payment typically lower than your old utility bill from day one.

  • No money down — replace one bill with another
  • You still own the system + claim federal credit
  • Payment typically beats utility bill month one
  • Sell or pay off any time without penalty
  • Interest costs reduce lifetime savings vs. cash
  • Requires credit check (typical 650+ FICO)
Run loan numbers

PPA / Lease

Pay only for power

Lowest commitment

SunWright owns and maintains the panels. You buy the kWh they produce at a fixed sub-utility rate for 20 or 25 years. No loan, no credit-utilization hit.

  • $0 down, $0 maintenance, $0 surprises
  • Sub-utility rate locked for 20–25 years
  • We own the system, you own the savings
  • Approval based on roof, not credit score
  • Lower lifetime savings than own/loan structures
  • Federal tax credit goes to SunWright, not you

★★★★★
Three solar companies pitched us. SunWright was the only one who showed us PPA, loan, AND cash numbers side by side. Eight months in, our APS bill is $14 and we run AC at 74° all summer.

Crew was on time, panels were on the roof in one day, and the city inspector signed off in five days flat. They did the SRP rebate paperwork for us. Best contractor experience we’ve had in this house.

We went PPA because we’re moving in five years. SunWright still treated it like our forever house — engineered for the pool load, walked us through the transfer clause, no pressure to upsell to a loan.

Frequently asked

What homeowners ask before they sign.

How much does solar actually cost in Phoenix?
Typical 8 kW residential install runs $24k–$32k before incentives, $17k–$22k after the 30% federal credit. We’ll give you a written number with your roof, your bill, and your shading factored in—not a generic per-watt estimate.
How long until the panels pay for themselves?
Cash purchases pay back in 6–8 years on a typical AZ home; $0-down loans cashflow positive from month one (the loan payment is usually lower than the utility bill they replace). PPA / lease is savings from day one but lower lifetime value.
What happens to my APS or SRP bill?
You stay connected to the grid — APS or SRP keeps the bill open for the kWh you draw at night and a small monthly service charge ($10–$25). Most of our customers see year-one bills drop 70–90% and total annual utility cost flip to a credit balance through net metering.
Will solar work for me in a Tucson or Phoenix summer?
It works better. Arizona gets the highest annual solar irradiance in the continental US. Modern panels do lose ~10% efficiency at extreme heat, which is exactly why we use SunPower Maxeon (most heat-tolerant residential panel on the market) and why we engineer with that derate built in.
Do I need a battery (Powerwall / Enphase IQ)?
Not required to save money on the bill, but worth it if (a) you want whole-home backup when the grid drops, (b) you’re on an APS time-of-use plan where 4pm–7pm rates are 3x daytime rates, or (c) you’re planning an EV. We model with and without storage in every proposal.
Who maintains the system after it’s installed?
We do, for 25 years. Production monitoring runs 24/7 from day one. We get a panel-level alert if anything drops, we wash the array twice a year (extra in dust season), and inverters carry a 12-year manufacturer warranty plus our 25-year workmanship warranty.
What if I sell the house?
Owned systems transfer with the sale and add ~$15k–$20k to home value (Berkeley Lab study). Loan-financed systems can be paid off at sale or assumed by the buyer. PPA / lease has a one-page transfer clause we walk you and the buyer’s agent through—we’ve done it ~140 times.
What rebates and credits am I eligible for?
30% federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (no cap), AZ state credit of up to $1,000, sales-tax exemption on the equipment, property-tax exemption on the system’s added value, and SRP / APS net metering credits. We file everything for you in-house.
