When we send emails from a shared domain (workspacecms.ai), every Workspace CMS site shares that domain's reputation with email providers like Gmail. If one site sends spam-like content, it hurts deliverability for everyone. Autoresponders go to people who submit your form — strangers from our perspective — so we ask you to send those from your own Resend account. That way your own domain's reputation reflects your own sending behavior.

Resend is a transactional email service. Their free tier sends 100 emails/day and 3,000/month — plenty for most sites. Above that, $20/mo gets you 50,000/mo. You connect your Resend account in Site → Email Settings by pasting their API key. We never see your domain DNS — Resend handles that on their end with you.

Those are mailbox products (inboxes you check). Workspace CMS Email is for outbound transactional emails (notifications + autoresponders). They're complementary — use both.

Not today. This is transactional only. For newsletters, use Mailchimp, Beehiiv, or ConvertKit — happy to add direct integrations if there's demand.

Form submissions still capture in your inbox. Notification emails queue until next billing cycle, OR you connect BYO Resend mid-month for unlimited sends.

Because we're not an email provider — Resend is. If you want unlimited + autoresponders, you go straight to them. We'd rather not put a 3x markup on a commodity service. We focus on the CMS; they focus on email.
