Who is WorkspaceCMS for?
Is the initial site build included? What about migrations and custom work?
All plans include a free new-build with your 12-month commitment (Essentials: a 6-page site — 3 pages designed for your business; Growth: 10 pages — 7 designed; Premium: 15 pages — 12 designed; every plan adds a blog, Terms, and Privacy styled to match): a brand-new site based on one of our reference designs, filled with your content, your brand voice, and a solid SEO foundation.
Standard marketing-site takeovers are covered by the free rebuild: your plan's page counts, with your content and photos moved over, at the same monthly price. Online stores (like Shopify), custom features, third-party integrations, and data migrations always get a written quote first. No surprise bills.
The monthly plan fee ($89 / $199 / $449) covers hosting and us running the site for you after it's live: content edits, photo swaps, blog, SEO tools, AI visibility, and AI content tools. That starts from day one of your subscription.
What is Growth?
What is Premium?
Is the AI content tooling self-serve, or does your team do it for me?
What counts as a "blocker"?
A blocker is something stopping your site from working: the site is down, login or payment is broken, forms aren't submitting, or Google suddenly can't find or read the site. Visual nits, typos, content additions, and custom builds don't qualify. You mark a ticket as a blocker in your dashboard; we honor every reasonable call.
Blocker turnaround scales by plan: 1 business day on Essentials, same business day on Growth (≤ 8 business hours), 4 business hours on Premium. The full definition lives in our turnaround policy.
What stops my site from going stale a year after launch?
Can our team log in and manage the site ourselves?
How is this different from hiring an agency for a custom build?
What's included in the monthly fee, and what isn't?
Included on every plan: fast, secure hosting, the technical SEO details (handled for you), AI content tools, a team that makes your updates for you on your plan’s turnaround (4 business days on Essentials, 2 on Growth, 1 business day on Premium), a form builder, and full admin access for your whole team. AI-visibility tracking across ChatGPT + Claude + Perplexity + Gemini is included on Premium.
Also included: upkeep, tuning for Google’s speed scores, and security-certificate renewals, so you’re not chasing a developer every time something expires.
Not included, quoted separately in writing:
- Custom page designs beyond your plan’s semi-custom scope
- Custom functionality and third-party integrations (e.g., a custom booking engine, ERP sync)
- Online stores and e-commerce
- Ongoing SEO, PPC, social, or email campaigns (separate agency services)
Every out-of-scope item is quoted in writing before any work starts. You’ll never open an invoice and see a surprise line item.
Can we cancel? Do we own our content?
30-day money-back guarantee on Essentials, Growth, and Premium. If it's not for you in the first 30 days after we deliver your first design, you get everything you've paid back in full. Ultra and Enterprise include unlimited revision rounds while your design is being agreed instead, so we keep revising rather than refunding; on any plan, cancel before we deliver your first design and you get every dollar back with no time limit. Plans run 12 months, then month-to-month.
After the initial 12 months, cancel anytime. No intro rate that triples in month four.
Refund policy: Outside the guarantee window, plans cancel at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds. Monthly payments are non-refundable. Annual prepayments (an optional way to pay) are also non-refundable. If you cancel during the first 12-month initial term, a one-time build fee may apply. See Terms for the amount specific to your plan.
Every plan includes a free website build with your 12-month commitment (Essentials: a 6-page site — 3 pages designed for your business; Growth: 10 pages — 7 designed; Premium: 15 pages — 12 designed; every plan adds a blog, Terms, and Privacy styled to match). Build capacity is limited.
Your content: You own it. Export content (HTML + JSON), media (raw files), and redirects (CSV) anytime. Full detail in What exactly can I export if I leave? below. Domain is always yours. We hold exported data 30 days after cancellation then permanently delete it. Full terms at Terms of Service.
What exactly can I export if I leave?
What you can export, anytime: your written content (HTML + JSON), your media and image assets (raw files), and your redirect map (CSV). Your domain is always yours.
What export is not: a one-click, deployable copy of your live site, and not the WorkspaceCMS platform itself. The CMS, the admin, the dynamic features, and the hosting stay with WorkspaceCMS. Export hands you your content and assets to take elsewhere and rebuild, not a turnkey clone of the running site.
This is standard for every managed platform (Squarespace, Wix, and Shopify work the same way). The difference: many managed-website shops won't let you export at all. We always will.
What's the timeline to launch?
Standard builds: your first draft lands a few days after you finish the questionnaire. Essentials is a 6-page site, Growth 10 pages, Premium 15 pages. From there most sites go live within a few business days. Timing is response-driven, not a fixed promise. It depends on how quickly you send content and design feedback (target: 24–48 hours). Delays on your end move the date by the same amount.
Custom scopes (online stores, custom features, third-party integrations, data migrations): Timeline is scoped in writing via your dashboard questionnaire once we've evaluated the existing site and scope. These are never quoted blind. You'll see the timeline and price before any work starts. Standard marketing-site takeovers are covered by the free rebuild at your plan's page counts.
