Domain registries require the owner’s postal address. Privacy protection keeps it out of the public directory.

  • The domain is registered in your name for one year. You are its legal owner.
  • We register it through our registrar partner, Name.com. By buying it you agree to Name.com's Domain Registration Agreement.
  • It renews once a year at the renewal price shown before you buy. We email you before each renewal.
  • Domain registrations can't be refunded once the domain is registered. If we can't register it, we refund your payment in full.
  • Privacy protection is included, so your contact details are not shown in the public domain directory.
  • Name.com will email you to confirm your email address. If it isn't confirmed within 15 days, the domain stops working until it is.
  • A new domain can't move to another registrar for 60 days. After that you can move it whenever you like.

Who owns the domain?

You do. It is registered in your name, and you are its legal owner.

What does it cost?

The first-year price for the name you choose is shown before you pay, with its yearly renewal price when we can confirm it. It renews once a year, and we email you before each renewal.

Which endings can I buy here?

.com, .net, .org, .co, .biz, .info. Premium names are not sold here.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes. You do not need to buy one. Sign up for a website plan or Business Email and connect the domain you own from your dashboard.

What about email at my domain?

Add Business Email in the same checkout, or later from your dashboard. It is billed monthly as its own subscription. For a domain registered here, we add its email settings for you, so there is nothing to copy.

Why do I need to confirm my email address?

Name.com emails the owner to confirm the address. If it is not confirmed within 15 days, the domain stops working until it is.

Can I get a refund?

Domain registrations can't be refunded once the domain is registered. If we can't register it, we refund your payment in full.

Can I transfer it out?

Yes. A new domain can move to another registrar 60 days after it is registered. After that, you can move it whenever you like from your dashboard.
