Junior Customer Service Rep,
Onboarding
Guide new WorkspaceCMS customers from signup to a live website: email coordination, website QA, support and launch-day DNS.
- Full-time, remote
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time
- Training provided
About the role
WorkspaceCMS builds and runs websites for small businesses. Our call center activates new accounts every day, and each one needs a person to guide it from signup to a live website.
That person is you. You are the customer's main point of contact during onboarding: you keep the email thread moving, check the new site before launch, answer their questions, and handle the domain switch on launch day.
This is a junior role. We will train you on our tools and process. What we need from you is care, clear written English, comfort with websites and AI tools, and a reliable place to work during US hours.
What you will do
- Coordinate onboarding by email: welcome new customers, collect what the build team needs (logo, photos, copy, questionnaire answers) and keep every thread moving.
- QA new website builds before launch: check every page on desktop and phone, test forms and links, and report what needs fixing.
- Customer service: answer support tickets and emails, and take the occasional phone call, with clear, friendly replies.
- DNS support on launch day: help the customer, or their domain provider, point the domain at the new site, and confirm the site loads with a valid certificate.
- Work alongside Claude and the dashboard's AI tools to draft replies, summarize threads and check work, and know when a person needs to decide.
- Keep each account's status current in the dashboard so the team always knows where an onboarding stands.
What you need
- 1 or more years in customer service, technical support, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Clear, professional written and spoken English.
- General website knowledge: you know what a domain, a page, a form and a browser cache are, and you can find your way around a website builder or CMS.
- Working knowledge of AI tools, Claude in particular: you have used it for real work and understand what it does well and where it needs checking.
- Comfortable learning DNS basics (A, CNAME and TXT records). We will teach you the rest.
- Organized and detail-oriented: you notice the broken link before the customer does.
- Available every working shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time.
Nice to have
- Experience with a ticketing tool or help desk.
- Experience with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or a similar platform.
- Experience with a US-based company or US customers.
Your setup
- A reliable computer you can work on all shift (a laptop or desktop, not a phone or tablet).
- A fast, stable internet connection, with a backup option such as mobile data.
- A quiet, professional work environment with a working headset for calls.
- A backup power plan for outages.
Hours and pay
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time. That is 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM Philippine time from mid-March to early November, and 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM from November to mid-March, when the US is on standard time. You must be available for the full shift.
Pay: Competitive, discussed during the interview.
